As a subsidiary of Moi University and in partnership with JP.ik, MU Technologies was established in 2016 as a digital technology company with main focus on the key areas of technological development in terms of hardware assembly and software development. The company offers quality services and products in the fields of Digital Device Assembly, Call Centre Services, Repair Center Services and Consultancy in various emerging modern day technological fields like Smart City development and Data Centre infrastructure development.
MU Technologies also doubles up as a technological innovation hub for the larger Moi University Students and Teaching Fraternity and offers a platform for all innovative minds and ideas in and out of the university.

Partnering with key industry players : JP.ik, intel and Microsoft, MU Technologies has successfully delivered on a number of projects assigned to it by various government parastatals in kenya and is currently working on others, notably:

DLP PROGAM
In this project MU-JP.ik Consortium delivered and installed over 500k assorted learners devices: tablets, laptops, projectors, servers, accessories to Kenyan public primary schools. These devices were assembled and configured at MU Technologies Digital Assembly Plant.

CENSUS
In 2017, MU Technologies was contracted to design and assemble tablets that were used in data collection and transmission during the 2017 Census exercise in kenya. The tablets were assembled and confugured at the MU Technologies Digital Assembly Plant

SMART CITIES
Partnering with ...MU Technologies is also providing consultancy services to various stakeholders in the development and establishment of key iSmart City nfrastructure and establishment of a robust Data Center at KONZA City Technopolis. This project is ongoing.

INNOVATION HUBS
MU Technologies designed, Assembled, supplied and successfully installed computers to over 150 Constituency Innovation Hubs spread across the county- Kenya, a project that was funded by the NG-CDF. This project was in partnership with Telkom-Kenya
